If you’re getting married within days -- maybe hours -- there’s no better way to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday weekend than with the fireworks of a bachelor party. That’s exactly what singer, actor, TV host and heartthrob Nick Lachey did all day yesterday, soaking up the sun at Tao Beach and then continuing the celebration last night and this morning at Tao in the Venetian.
Nick’s festive bash follows his fiancee Vanessa Minnillo’s bachelorette party at sister hotspot Lavo at the neighboring Palazzo a few weeks go, as the couple is heavily rumored to be marrying very soon with a top-secret wedding already planned. Nick had 30 guys in his entourage, including his former 98 Degrees bandmates brother Drew Lachey and Justin Jeffre, plus actor Geoff Stults and Houston Texans quarterback Matt Leinart. After dinner, they headed upstairs to a VIP dance floor table. DJ Reach gave Nick a shout-out, and his friends raised shot glasses in a toast.
A custom ball-and-chain cake from Gimme Some Sugar was delivered by a bevy of beautiful cocktail waitresses. The cake design was a reference to Vanessa, who at her Lavo bachelorette bash got on the mic to announce, “I’m about to get a ball and chain.” Making sure his love was not forgotten at the party, the ball was inscribed with “Property of Vanessa”!
