Project Style ---- Project Style, the ultimate fashion competition for guys and girls ages 13 and older, will be held by The Promenade mall in Temecula and Shoptopia. Two participants will be selected from each round during a five-round contest that will last through August and will put their sense of style and fashion to the test by creating the ultimate outfit. Each one selected will receive a $150 gift card and the challenge to create the most stylish outfit that represents their personal sense of style and creativity. Semifinalists will compete during the live fashion Style-Off event in September where one winner will be named the Top Trendsetter and receive a $1,000 Grand Prize. Pechanga Pow Wow concludes ---- Fireworks, dancers and drummers light up the Pechanga Resort & Casino for the closing events of the 16th annual Pechanga Pow Wow. Always Hang Up Tops and Bottoms

To prevent wrinkles that can easily occur with cotton clothes, after washing and drying, it’s essential to try to hand all shirts and pants neatly on hangers. For the few items that can’t be hung, fold them very carefully and neatly and don’t press down too hard on the folds so that wrinkles or bulges won’t form on the apparel. Hang the items up on a closet rod that has a good amount of distance between the hangers as well so that the hung clothes aren’t pressing against one another either.

Iron On High Heat

Never use low heat to iron cotton clothes. The clothes don’t react well to low heat. The fibre stretches too much. But always be careful not to keep the hot iron down on one section of the cotton fabric for too long otherwise it can easily burn. Just smoothly and gently iron over all areas until the wrinkles are all out and the material looks soft and flattened out evenly. You don’t have to use starch when you iron but if you choose to it won’t hurt the cotton fabric at all, so it’s up to you which you prefer.

Avoid Drying Too Long

To prevent the common phenomenon of the cotton shrinking when too much dry heat is present, always remember to under dry the cotton garments rather than get them hot inside the dryer. Shrinkage will ruin the size and durability of the cotton material and that’s the last thing you want to happen with this delicate type of fabric. So always dry on moderate heat only, never on the extremely hot setting and watch how long you dry the cotton garments as well no matter how wet they were when they first went into the revolving dryer.

Wash Similar Colours

Remember to never mix up colours of cotton when washing them. Always wash similar colours, either all the whites, or all the blues or reds in separate loads with a little laundry detergent. Don’t use bleach unless absolutely necessary to get out very stubborn stains like red wine or protein-rich blood. If you mix colours, each cotton garment is going to spread part of its colour onto another coloured garment. And always wash in warm to hot water for the best results. Cold water won’t clean cotton nearly as well as warm to hot water will.

Pre-treat Stains Before Washing

For severe stains like grass or caked on mud, it’s perfectly okay to pre-treat these stains with a cleanser before washing them. The same can be done with blood and wine stains but this isn’t always necessary as enough hot water and laundry detergent without bleach will usually be fully adequate to clean on most every stain except for the very stubborn ones.
