GSU Center's 2011-12 season
TICKET INFORMATION
Priority and subscriber (three or more shows) tickets for the Center for Performing Arts at Governors State University’s 2011-12 season go on sale at 10 a.m. July 1.
Single-show tickets will be available at 10 a.m. Aug. 5.

Tickets for parties of 20 or more is at (800) 386-6321.
All patrons who purchase tickets prior to July 29 qualify for early-bird discounts, and patrons who purchase three or more shows receive a $10 voucher toward a future ticket purchase.
A limited number of $15 single tickets to every main stage show in the 2011-2012 season will be available at 10 a.m. Aug. 5 through an online-only promotion at centertickets.net.
Buy-one-get-one-free single tickets are available at the box office two hours prior to the curtain for each show for one hour only, based upon availability.
The 2011-12 season of the Center for Performing Arts at Governors State University marks 17 years of enhancing the cultural landscape of the Southland.
The venue is billed as the premier presenter of the finest in performing arts and entertainment experiences.
“Our patrons count on the Center to be a source of great entertainment, and for our 17th season we are pleased to offer a diverse variety of programming,” executive director Burt Dikelsky said.
“Back by popular demand is the acclaimed Ailey II dance company, and we are also especially excited to bring the national Broadway tour of ‘The Color Purple’ as well as a new One More Night three-play series to our audiences.
“The Center truly offers something for everyone to enjoy,.”
The venue was the recipient of a $50,000 grant from the Chicago Community Trust to present top Chicago theater productions from three critically acclaimed theater companies.
One More Night will bring these groups to Southland audiences, launching what is touted as the first series of this kind in the community.
