At Stacks, the 50-table dining room is minimal and casual, with chocolate-colored, high-backed booths and neutral accents. Cohen says the look is similar to the Hoboken Stacks, but larger. Like the Hoboken location, the Paramus Stacks is open 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays.

All of the restaurant's signature pancake wraps are named after Hoboken streets, including Hudson, Washington, River and Garden.

Manager Melissa Cruces says the wraps treat pancakes like tortillas; the newest is the Willow, filled with scrambled eggs, jalapeño peppers, Taylor ham and melted pepper jack cheese. The Observer features egg whites, grilled turkey breast, Swiss cheese and tomato.

Pancakes, available in 24 varieties, can be made "harvest grain" style with whole wheat, with buttermilk or gluten-free. Cruces says customers in Hoboken have loved the pancake dish called A Slice of Heaven, with bananas, strawberries and melted chocolate chips. Cheesesteaks, burgers, wings, salads and sandwiches are also available for those who don't want breakfast food.

Cohen says customers will never find compotes atop their dishes, only fresh fruit inside the batter and on top. French toast and Belgian waffles can be prepared with apples and cinnamon, fruit or chocolate chips. Stacks' Cinna-Toast is made with cinnamon-and-sugar-swirled challah bread drizzled with icing.

Also new to the restaurant's menu are crepes, available with a variety of filings including s'mores; Nutella and fruit; melted Belgian white chocolate with strawberries; as well as peanut butter with bananas and chocolate chips.

The decadence continues: For dessert, the Stacks Sundae — any kind of ice cream stuffed between Belgian waffles, topped with whipped cream — is another winner, says Cruces. "Waffles and ice cream is always a good thing."

I bought these for my hubby for his birthday. He was recently diagnosed with diabetes and I know the hardest thing to give up was his regular chocolate bar. He wouldn’t buy any because all the sugar free purchase he’s made so far just don’t taste good. But I have seen reviews for this brand before and the sugar free rated very well. I didn’t plan to even try one though since I don’t like and I don’t need sugar free products but he talked me into it because he said they were really very good. That got me into trouble because the next day I ate most of the remaining ones leaving him just a couple! Now I have to make it up to him and get him some more. I can’t believe they are sugar free. The taste is incredible. They just melt in your mouth. I will never buy Godiva again, these just taste so much fresher like good chocolate I remember from when I was a kid when my father was based in Germany.

Congratulations, chocolate lovers, calories-counting dieters, diabetics and everybody else. These chocolates are really good. While it would be unfair to say they are better than the “real” chocolates, now there is an option for people who love chocolates and because of any particular reason, cannot have the sugar-added chocolates. The chocolate tastes as chocolate should, without any metallic-tasting residue in your mouth, as it is usual with this kind of sweets. I ordered these chocolates after reading the reviews and I am absolutely glad I did. Try them and you won’t regret you did. They are very good.
