MANILA, Philippines -- Samsung recently displayed its continued dedication to bringing innovative products to its consumers when it launched its latest range of gadgets.

Held at A-Venue Events Hall in Makati, the Samsung event featured performances by world class entertainers Air Dancers and the award winning dance troop Philippine All Stars. But the real star of the show was the Samsung GALAXY S II, the first 4G phone to hit the country. It’s so beautifully thin (at just 8.49mm!), lightweight, and extremely powerful, what with its 1.2 GHz dual-core processor.It also has the latest Android Smartphone OS, dubbed the Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Complementing this latest operating system is HSPA+ connectivity, the most vivid and brilliant Super AMOLED Plus screen, and the smartest voice solution that enables the user to call, text, email, and even surf the internet hands-free.

“With the GALAXY S II, Samsung wants to set the new standard in Smartphone’s. Consumers will no longer have to limit themselves because the Samsung GALAXY S II allows them to design their own smart lives,” said Glenn Glinoga, business unit director of SEPCO’s mobile Communications business.

Minutes after the media event, tweets about the new products and spectacular show were shared with more than 100,000 followers from the media guests who attended the morning launch. The evening event saw Manila’s tech savvy and stylish set braving the heavy rains to try out the new products.

The House of Rémy Martin and one of the country’s premier magazines were co-hosts of  a most auspicious event; the Remy Martin salute to Metro Society’s “16 Men in Suits.” These men were honored for their accomplishments and personal sense of style.

Throughout the country, gingerbread house displays and contests attract everyone from culinary architects to kids who love to savor the decorations.
